Thank you for your interest in partnering with the National Women's History Museum. Partnerships are central to the way we operate, and our primary partnerships are done through participation in our National Coalition, a group of more than 60 national, predominantly women’s organizations, with educational, professional and/or service missions (more information is available here). In addition to our National Coalition, Museum partnerships include the United States Mint, PBS, the George Washington University, the National Archives, and more.

Please think through ways in which we might work together, and be as specific as possible on the partnership proposal form. Please note: Equity-informed women’s history programs and related partnerships are a core organizational priority whereby we align our external work with our internal commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA). DEIA is a driving force in our partnerships, community outreach efforts, and within the fields of history and civics education; partnership proposals demonstrating a strong commitment to DEIA will be prioritized.

Book Club Suggestions

The NWHM is not taking suggestions from authors or publishers for Women's History Book Club reads at this time.

Live Program Book Suggestions

Thank you for your interest in having your book be a part of the Museum’s live programs. NWHM curates programs based on a variety of factors, including the mission, NWHM's current themes and exhibitions, the needs and interests of its audiences, and current events. The Museum will often reach out directly to authors that fit the mission. NWHM encourages you to learn more about the Museum’s mission, themes, and resources on the website: womenshistory.org.

If you are interested in collaborating on a live program, please fill out the Partnership Proposal Form. A response to your request will be sent within 90 days of receipt.

Please note:

· The Museum is unable to do book buys, but can link to a preferred bookseller.

· NWHM asks that you provide a moderator/list of potential moderators for your program.

· Please include a justification of why your book fits with the current themes and mission of NWHM, as well as a reason you would like to hold your program at the time and date you’ve suggested.

All partnership proposals will be reviewed within three weeks of their submission. Due to the high volume of requests we receive, we regret that there are only a limited number of partners that we can work with at any given time. Please note: We do not currently accept unsolicited manuscripts, articles, films/videos, or educational resources. The National Women's History Museum is a nonpartisan, non-profit 501c(3) organization, and only nonpartisan partnerships will be considered. Please fill out the following form in its entirety, as completed proposals are required for consideration. We look forward to reviewing your proposal!

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
